The Sector / Statistics Service
Since ASPAPEL represents over 90% of the total Spanish output of pulp, paper and board, it is responsible for producing statistics about the sector that it regularly distributes to both the Spanish government and the international organizations it belongs to (FAO, CEPI, etc.).
These Production Statistics include data per grade and type of pulp and paper during the period. This information is compiled from data submitted directly by the paper companies. The report also includes information at a European level provided by CEPI as well as data about recovered paper.
The Statistics Summary Report also includes data on foreign trade (import and export) and apparent consumption, provided by the Tax Office.
Every year, a Statistical Report is drawn up, which includes total annual figures and details from the main producer countries which allows for a full analysis and comparation of how the sector and its products have evolved.
Subscription to the Service
As with other European organizations in the sector, this statistical information is available to all stakeholders by subscription to ASPAPEL.
