Socio-economic Importance of the Pulp, Paper & Board Value Chain

The cellulose, paper and cardboard value chain globally contributes 4.5% of the GDP and generates one in every fifty jobs in our country, according to the report Socio-economic importance of the value chain of cellulose, paper and cardboard developed by CEPREDE for the organizations of the chain, which has been presented today at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. In addition, four out of every fifty euros of the industry’s turnover and one out of every fifty euros collected by the State through taxes or social contributions in Spain are related to the activity of this value chain.
